"Nicola Gatta" is a winery located in the easternmost part of Franciacorta, 400 meters above sea level. The conformation of the soil of the hills where the vineyards are located is calcareous, which gives its products a marked minerality. In the vineyard, Nicola follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture; only spontaneous fermentations without filtration and clarification and also never adds exogenous sulfur dioxide. This winery has 6 hectares planted only with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the two most important grape varieties in the Franciacorta landscape. This excellent bubble comes from the assembly of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%), resting on the lees for 40 months. We are faced with a classic method, with dryness, minerality and a very marked persistence. The bouquet is typical of this type of bubble: bread crust, yeast, citrus fruits and dried fruit. On the palate it gives us flavor, freshness, finesse and harmony.
